Nick joined the practice in 1983 and has been a Director of Partridge since 1987. He is responsible for the project control and design of residential, commercial and industrial developments within the company, providing technical review and implementation of the practice.
Nick has over 35 years’ experience in structural design and remediation of building structures. He has combined a distinguished educational background with acutely practical construction experience, and has a particular interest in the economic design of complex architectural designed domestic and multi- storey residential projects. He has a particular interest in the economic design of domestic residential projects, investigative and forensic engineering and the application of new concrete repair techniques.
Much of Nick’s current work sees him involved in the forensic investigation and reporting of building defects, as well as scoping the rectifications and project management of the remedial works. The building investigations cover all building and structural engineering defects, with the majority involving water ingress and waterproofing failures due to defective installations or poor construction of waterproofing products or systems.
He has been sought for his expert opinions in the forensic investigation of structural engineering and building defects and is regularly involved in their legal proceedings, including providing expert witness in caveat.
Outside of the office, Nick is a keen traveller and still continues his involvement in club sports and soccer refereeing. A keen sportsman, Nick plays competitive masters soccer and cricket, and coaches representative basketball.
