Film Set, Exhibition and Event Structures
We have developed unique skills through years of collaboration with the Film and Exhibition industry.
For such designs, usual functionality is turned upside-down; structures need to perform adequately for only 1 hour or 1 day rather than 100 years but the risks are higher: injury to a $50 million actor can terminate filming.
A "traditional heavy design" is not appropriate for these structures; the aesthetics of the pieces and their performance is critical to the success of the ceremony or film.
We have had extensive experience in delivering this imperative whilst also providing structural certification and assurance for the safety of the performers and that the objects maintain their structural integrity and serviceability throughout the rehearsal period and final performance.
Our particular experience includes structural design and certification for:
- Doha Asian Games 2006 Opening & Closing Ceremonies
- Sydney 2000 Olympics Opening & Closing Ceremonies
- Superman Returns
- Matrix II and III
- The Mask II
- Mad Max III
- Numerous TV and Commercial sets
