Film Set, Exhibition, and Event Structures
We have developed unique skills through years of collaboration with the Film and Exhibition industry and working with designers on outdoor events and assisting design manufacturers.
For such designs, usual functionality is turned upside-down; structures need to perform adequately for only 1 hour or 1 day rather than 100 years but the risks are higher.
A "traditional heavy design" is not appropriate for these structures; the aesthetics of the pieces and their performance is critical to the success of the ceremony or film.
We have had extensive experience in delivering this imperative whilst also providing structural certification and assurance for the safety of the performers and that the objects maintain their structural integrity and serviceability throughout the rehearsal period and final performance.
Our particular experience includes structural design and certification for:
Film Set Projects including: Mad Max III; Matrix II and III; Superman Returns; The Mask; Australia; Wolverine.
Exhibition Projects including: Lexus stand 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008; Mazda stand 2002, 2005, 2006 & 2007; Land Rover stand 2002 & 2007; Jaguar stand 2004; Kawasaki stand 2002 & 2004.
Event Projects including: Sydney 2000 Olympics - Opening & Closing Ceremonies; 2006 Doha Asian Games - Opening & Closing Ceremonies
