Childcare Centres

Partridge Partners provided structural engineering design and supervision of 5 childcare centres across Sydney. Typically the structures were 2 storey with reinforced concrete slabs and columns, load bearing masonry walls with steel framed roofs.

Bankstown Girls High School

Structural design of new 2 storey extension in insitu concrete and modifications to existing buildings.

Tranby College, Glebe

A 2-storey Aboriginal School with circular classrooms and domed copper roofs.

TAFE College Moruya

A Public Works project delivered in the “traditional” way of design team/tender/contract admin.

Yamba Public School

This school combined local hardwood logs as columns with large span curved steel rafters to give an indigenous feel to the structure, in keeping with the Architectural response to the school population.

Muswellbrook, Council Chambers

This was a very exciting building using structural steel to form the skeleton of an overlapping nautilus shape that enclosed the main Council chamber.  The complex geometry became straightforward by use of repetitive steel members "step-extrapolating".  This building won the Metal Industries Award for Excellence. 

Budgewoi Public School

New school consisting of hall, classroom, maintenance buildings and assembly areas.  It was designed in accordance with the Public Works Department specifications.

Glenaeon School, Middle Cove, Sydney

The structural design of a new kindergarten, science block, library and technical buildings for this Rudolf Steiner School.  Most of the architectural forms consist of free-flowing or out-of-plane forms (in keeping with the Steiner philosophy) requiring a high degree of collaboration with the architect to resolve junctions and details.

Gwandalan Public School

New school consisting of hall, classroom, maintenance buildings and assembly areas.  It was designed in accordance with the Public Works Department specifications.
