The design of 200 steel portal frames supporting an 11m high timber frontage representing a New York streetscape; design of glass elevator for Superman's X-ray vision of Lois; glass-bottomed boat; design of over-sized plane and plane cabin for erection on gymbal; large 3m deep pools for studio filming of flying plane etc.

Partridge Partners provided structural design and certification for set elements at Fox Studios in Sydney including the lifting rig and structure for the submerged water tank.

Mad Max III, Beyond Thunderdome

Mad Max III,  Beyond Thunderdome

Partridge Partners carried out complex computer analyses, all in very quick time, to design the Thunderdome re-using existing roof trusses, cut and re-welded. Within 3 days of getting our drawings, the welding team had completed the structure. The Director then placed the spectator actors, clambering over the dome, in our predetermined layout.

Wolverine

Partridge Partners provided structural certification of existing structures at Cockatoo Island, and the existing structure of an old theatre building in inner west Sydney for use to support various load configurations during filming.

The Mask II

Structural design and certification of various sets and stunts at Fox Studios, Dome building and W Wharf including Tim and Tonya's house, breaking piano frame, Animagic Studio and the certification that the W Wharf would not be damaged by the film set, the Phoenix crane and crew loads.
