Partridge Partners carried out a design review of the British designed Roof System to Australian Standards and provided certification for the Roof and Stage Structures Australia wide. 

We have carried out installation inspections for Big Day Out 2007, 2008 and 2009.

In January 2006 David Atkins Enterprises (DAE) appointed Partridge Partners as consulting engineers responsible for ensuring the structural safety of 50 ground based and 25 flown ‘performance structures’ as well as 2 stages and a number of tower structures (supported on the stage lift constructed below the centre of the field of play) to be used in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Doha Asian Games held in December 2006.

Ned Kelly's horse charged into the arena breathing fire and smoke, dominating the stadium; then in a graceful flowing movement bowed down to gently greet Nicky Webster. Later it would transform into the ubiquitous outback windmill.

We certified all event structures in the 'Tin' sequence and the 'Flying Fish' suspended above the arena.

This design required us to carry out floatation calculations on a floating pontoon. The pontoon floatation and stability levels were then checked on a trial run in Port Stephens, before it was deflated and flown to Hawaii for erection in a hotel swimming pool, for a 2-hour spectacle of Hawaii dancing.
